The base is from the early 1900's (an old radio amp or so I've been told" The mannequin is hand painted. The eyes and brain light up green. The base has 2 LED Edison style light bulbs. The mannequin and base have their own independent power switches. I used a-lot of copper wiring in this piece and selected colors that pay homage to the wiring of electronics.

This piece stands about 6' tall. The lighted shade is nearly 4.5 feet in height. The frame is made from hand shaped steel rod. The shade exterior is made from 14 layers of tissue paper and glue. Clear coated with a matte finish. The wood sits atop an all-steel base. The wood is dead fall mountain laurel. The natural checking in the wood has been filled with colored epoxy and has been coated with 4 layers of polyurethane.
